The inspiration for "Spira Fiore" came from looking at spiraling forms from the ocean. It is made from long split strips of bamboo using traditional preparation techniques, cast paper, and glass leaves made in the artist's studio. All these handmade elements are sewn together into this complex yet peaceful form.
