Deep in a canyon where the Escalante River flows in Southern Utah's Escalante Wilderness, stands a single cottonwood tree. Against a red sandstone wall it starts to make it's transition to the yellow colored leaves of Fall. Thompson captured this iconic southwest image on medium format film, created a high-resolution scan and printed it on a double weight archival cotton rag paper with pigment inks. This image is in a limited edition of 25 with only 18 prints remaining. It is titled, numbered, and signed.
