This heart features brightly colored poppies created entirely from glass using the artist's newest "watercolor" technique. First, thin sheets of fusible glass are cut into heart shapes using a glass saw. Next, the artist applies floral images by hand, using powdered colored glass and water with paint brushes and other traditional painting tools. The piece is kiln fired to around 1400 degrees Fahrenheit to a matte finish and sits securely in a custom powder coated steel stand. Signed by the artist.
