Full of movement, this take on a doubles tennis match was first sketched by Melinda Buie in oil pastels; she then meticulously applied acrylic paint in layers before using turpentine to erase some of the original pastel marks, leaving sketched lines. After final touches with oil paint, the work-on-canvas was complete, on gallery-wrapped gallery with unfinished edges, and signed on the back. Ready to hang.
