The 'Moose in the Woods' mounted head is made with recycled farm machinery and reclaimed wood. The metal used for the head is thick steel from weathered farm machinery. The head pattern is hand-drawn on the metal with soapstone and cut with a hand-held plasma cutter. The shapes are then hammered, and arc welded together to form the head. The head is mounted on a recycled corn planter disk. The horns are cut from a large block of wood and shaped by hand.

This piece is sealed with a water-based enamel. Each head will have subtle variations.
