Koi Pond - Right Panel
"Koi Pond" is all glass, created using the artist's signature faux watercolor kiln formed glass technique. The three millimeter sheet of fusible glass is first textured using glass powder fired over a glass textile. The resulting textured glass resembles a sheet of cold pressed watercolor paper complete with a deckle (or organic, ragged) edge. This highly textured glass surface is drawn and painted on using finely powdered glass and water, then kiln fired at around 1300 degrees F. Finally, the panel is securely mounted to an aluminum panel screwed to wood with a simple D-ring for easy hanging. A special drywall hanger is included.
Pieces are created by hand, some variance in color is to be expected.
