The Europa Earrings are part of the Celestial Bodies series created by the artist in her Uncommon Threads Studio in Saint Louis, Missouri. The artist forms each swirling oval in sterling silver and 18k gold by hand, punctuating them with forward-facing diamonds, sparkling like the stars that inspired them. As a final touch, the silver is oxidized by hand with a fine-tipped brush. Diamonds measure 1.5mm in diameter each, are SI2 to SI3 in Clarity, and G to H in Color. Each is set in a 14k gold bezel.
