Amber/Salmon Line Work is influenced by Latimer's intrigue with knotted rugs and textiles both in pattern and the weaving of colors. By layering and fusing translucent glass pieces, Latimer builds a subtle unique palette as in a water color painting. The glass also has an iridized surface which is more visible in low and reflected light. Working with the irids is like building a second piece, the primary based on the color of the glass and the echo paying close attention to the colors of the iridized reflections.
